ATC Energy Management installs solar domestic hot water systems, which are manufactured by Buderus Solar. Solar domestic hot water systems are designed to replace existing hot water systems. The Buderus solar thermal heating system converts energy from sun into practical heat for space heating and domestic hot water applications.

The Buderus solar thermal heating system is an indirect solar heating system with the following components: flat plate solar collectors, solar controllers, solar storage tank, expansion tank, and solar pump station. The solar flat plate collectors are utilized for capturing solar thermal energy and transferring it into usable heat. There are two models of solar flat plate collectors, namely, Buderus SKN 3.0 and Buderus SKS 4.0. The solar storage tank is utilized for storing the solar energy. It is a dual coil storage tank that stores the solar energy from the collectors.
The Buderus solar thermal heating system incorporates a solar controller that runs the pump automatically to move the solar energy from solar collectors to the tank. The solar pump station is a circulation system designed to take the heat transfer fluid from solar collectors to the tank. The expansion tank included with this solar hot water system operates as a safety device to capture the condensation and expansion of the solar heat transfer fluid. The propylene glycol active indirect system of the solar thermal system installed by ATC Energy Management is designed to endure freezing conditions and higher stagnant temperatures.
