AT1200 1.2MW Biogas Genset from Altek Power

Altek Power Corp manufactures generators and also develops energy solutions to answer the growing demand for energy. Altek 1.2MW AT 1200 biogas generator is capable of working in varied climatic conditions.  This generator can use landfill gas, syngas, biogas, liquid, and gaseous fuels.  The generator has an output of 1200kW.  It consists of two-stage power turbine, two-stage gas producer turbine, split-shaft, and one-stage centrifugal compressor.  The split-shaft design is available with a five-stage axial compressor. Onboard reduction gearing is present in the two-stage power turbine.

The AT 1200 electrical generator has the following features, namely, 1,500 RPM or 1,800 RMP 4-pole generator, two-bearing synchronous generator, on-board voltage control regulator, stator winding temperature sensors, and on-board bearing temperature sensors along with Wye configuration.  The reduction gear box present in the two-stage turbine consists of main bearing with temperature sensors, 3.32 to 1 reduction gearing assembly and two gear pressure lube gravity return.

The control system in the generator has remote monitoring capacity along with multiple communication ports. The control system has a help function, an information system, and a man machine interface (MMI) with graphics. The AT 1200 electrical generator measures 5m (l) x 1.53m (w) x 1.9m (h) and weighs 7,000kg. The generator has a power out put of 1,137kW. The electrical efficiency of the generator is 24.3%, thermal efficiency is 60.86% and the overall efficiency is 85%.
