International Rollforms made an announcement of the installation of a solar energy system at the company’s New Jersey manufacturing plant, which measures 65,000 square foot. This installation is part of the company’s effort to create a greener environment and to increase its business efficiency.
One of the largest solar panels installed in South Jersey is International Rollforms’ new solar energy system that covers 45,000 square feet. This installation was aimed at sustaining local businesses in the area. Mercury Solar Systems, a leading solar integrator on the East Coast, installed the solar array.
The 383-kilowatt rooftop solar system consists of 1,256 SunPower 305 panels, which are designed to deliver better performance and high efficiency. Two SatCon inverters are utilized by this system, which is expected to supply 438 MW hours on an annual basis. Stimulus money was utilized by International Rollforms towards this initiative, which was aimed at creating a competitive advantage for itself as well as supporting the new green economy.
James Vosbikian of International Rollforms remarked that the company has been successfully serving its customers for the past 40 years, and the increasing demand for its products will be met by increasing the efficiency of the company’s New Jersey manufacturing plant. Vosbikian further stated that the company’s installation of the solar energy system will help in its efforts to continue to serve its customers for another 40 years.
Jared Haines, President of Mercury Solar Systems, remarked that the company is pleased to work with International Rollforms and extend its support toward the measures undertaken by International Rollforms and other companies that focus on creating environmental awareness.
Haines also stated the cost efficiency of the solar energy system will spur an increasing number of businesses in New Jersey to adopt a renewable energy strategy.
