Applications of Plastic Blast Media

Plasti-Grit® plastic blast media is manufactured with recycled materials. This recycled abrasive is used in processes such as industrial blast cleaning and paint removal applications.

Plastic media abrasives are efficient in stripping epoxies, powder coatings, paints, primers and other coatings from steel, brass, aluminum, hard metals, composites, plastics and fiberglass. It is employed for economical paint removal and surface preparation in many industries worldwide.

Plasti-Grit® is produced in 5 grades of hardness (Urea, Melamine, Clear-Cut®, Acrylic and Polyester) and complies with MIL-P-85981.

Blasting with Plastic Media can even be suitable for more delicate substrates and, as such, is considered an ideal alternative to hard abrasives or chemical stripping. Plastic abrasives can be recovered and reused several times, offering excellent economic benefits.
