ATN Joins NexGen for Transit Bus Testing and Conversion to Electric from Diesel
The ATN (Anaheim Transportation Network) has announced that it has partnered with NexGen Power Group for testing a fully functional battery-powered, zero-emission, heavy-duty transit bus for a period of one year starting 2010 December. NexGen will be retrofitting two buses from the diesel to electric operating platform for the purpose of performing a full operating day.

Smart Charging Station for Electric Vehicles
Developed by Fraunhofer researchers, the "smart" charging station is a device that enables electric vehicles to recharge when the system load is low and the share of energy from renewable resources is high. In this way, load peaks can be avoided and the contribution of solar and wind power fully exploited. "For us, it is important that end consumers are completely free to decide when they want to recharge.

Bavarian Minster of Economics becomes Patron for eCarTec 2010
Germany’s unique innovation show on the topic of electric mobility. More than 400 international companies and 20,000 visitors are expected to visit this year’s eCarTec 2010. This trade fair will therefore host twice as many exhibitors and guests as compared with 2009. Today, eight months prior to the opening, the number of applicants has already been exceeded.
