Thick soapstone panels lined inside the firebox makes the Morgan wood burning insert efficient with thermal mass, which helps to absorb heat and release it slowly. The firebox with an area of 1.7 cubic feet produces heat up to 40,000 BTU and heats an area of 1,200 square feet. It has a large front door that allows logs with a length of 18 inches.
