National Clean Fuels declared that it has contracted a letter of intent with DC Biofuels, (DCBF) a Washington DC-based company, to enter into a partnership accord. The two companies are planning to enter into an all inclusive accord within the next 20 days.
DC Biofuels is presently formulating a biodiesel production facility, which is capable of manufacturing around five million gallons of quality biodiesel (methyl ester) every year, which is sufficient to produce 25 million gallons of B20 biofuel mix. The plant will utilize fats and waste oil procured from homes, institutions, local restaurants and animal fats to produce biodiesel. The company is planning to sell its biodiesel to corporate and municipal fleet clients and to one or more metropolitan localities. On conclusion of the partnership with DCBF, National Clean Fuels will offer the required finance and technology to DCBF to demonstrate the usefulness of biodiesel in select fleet of vehicles owned by the municipality. NACF will participate in the long-term operations of a final contract between DCBF and one or more metropolitan localities.
Maurice Stone, President and Chairman of NACF, said that his company visualizes the DCBF biofuel plant as a major supplier of green renewable fuel in the region. He mentioned that the company’s attempts to arrange B20 biofuel fleet demonstration runs smoothly and added that his company anticipates contracting a definitive accord with DC Biofuels soon.
