The 50L DC-powered refrigerator and freezer incorporates super-insulated cabinets designed with powder-coated galvanized steel exterior, aluminum interior and insulated with polyurethane. The brushless DC compressor, which is controlled thermostatically, functions on 12 or 24V DC. This chest-style refrigerator and freezer model has a drain hole at the base of the unit for easy cleaning. It provides reliable and economical operation with its refrigeration system and thick insulation optimized for solar. Low energy consumption enables the 50L refrigerator and freezer to be powered from solar, batteries, fuel cells or wind.
The 50L DC-powered refrigerator and freezer operates on a 45W module with 12 or 24V DC having low voltage disconnect feature to protect the battery. The DCR50 solar refrigerator use 114 watt-hrs/day and 9.6 A-hrs/day while the DCF50 solar freezer use 280 watt-hrs/day and 24.5 A-hrs/day. The exterior width, depth and height of this unit are 26.5 inches, 23 inches and 30.5 inches, respectively. This solar refrigerator and freezer supplied by SunDanzer weigh 75lbs.
