The
AP-2000 is the portable
multi-parameter probe that gives you a choice! It is supplied with a
range of standard parameters and allows you 3 simple options.
Standard Parameters
- Optical dissolved oxygen (DO)
- Specific electrical conductivity (EC)
- Absolute EC
- pH
- Oxidation reduction potential (ORP)
- Total dissolved solids (TDS)
- Resistivity
- Salinity
- Seawater specific gravity (SSG)
- Temperature
There are 3 simple choices to make to customize the probe. The
probe comes with 1 ion-selective electrode (ISE) socket and 1 optical
electrode socket, plus you have the option to add a depth sensor!
Probes are supplied with blanking plugs in the optional electrode ports
as standard. Simply unscrew these to add your extra electrodes.
Your Options:
Option 1
Do you want to measure depth?
Option 2
Which of the 5 ISE electrodes would you like to use?
Option 3
Which of the 7 optical electrodes would you like to use?
All Aquaprobes
feature the new AquaConn fully metal connectors
The AP-2000 features the all-metal
AquaConn connectors. These high specification connectors feature large
metallic key for a rigid fit, recessed pins for extra protection during
pairing, guide markers on each part of the connector to allow you to
instantly push the pair together in the correct alignment. AP-2000 connectors are specified
to 30m and AP-7000 connectors are specified to 100m.
All AquaConn connectors are supplied with various lengths of
KevlarCore cable.
Aquaread's KevlarCore cables double up as a support cable, no
need for extra support wires here. The cable has a Kevlar support line
running along its length that is anchored firmly to the Aquaconn
connectors at each end. These cables are designed to withstand the
harshest environments.
The advantages/improvements are as follows:
- A standard set of parameters come with the probe (AP-2000); EC, Optical DO, pH, ORP,
Temperature,
- There is an option to add depth to the probe (AP-2000-D)
- There are now 2 additional, user configurable sensor ports
on this probe. One can accept one of our new ISE (ion selective
electrodes) and one can accept one of our new Optical sensors. This
means the AP-2000 now houses the most sensors in a probe at 2”
diameter, and allows user configuration for different applications. The
user can change sensors at any timer.
- The AP-2000 does not have cable hard wired into the probe;
it uses extension leads that connect the meter to the probe. This means
that if the cable is damaged in any way that is not repairable, the
probe does not get written off, the extension cable is simply replaced.
- The new cable is thicker and stronger, it also features our
new KevlarCore. It has Kevlar running along the length of the cable to
provide internal support for the probe when attached to long cable
lengths, meaning there is now no need for messy external support
cables.
- The new all metal AquaConn connectors that feature on the AP-2000, the extension cables and
the new look GPS Aquameter, are specified to up to 100m depth. They
offer a big improvement in durability, submergence and strength over
the older plastic connectors.
- The new look GPS Aquameter is now cast in black (purely
aesthetic). The new look meter features V4.xx software and offers a new
global parameter stability indicator, which tells you when ALL
parameters are stable via an on screen logo and a loud beep; so you
know when to take your reading. This version also allows the user to
change their sensor configuration when they update their sensors
connected to the Auxiliary sockets.
- Finally an update to the removable sleeve of the Aquaprobe,
the whole sleeve can now unscrewed by hand, we have completely removed
the 4 small screws, making it much easier to service and clean your
probe.
