Shrink Nanotechnologies Establishes New Subsidiary Shrink Solar

Nanotechnology company Shrink Nanotechnologies, Inc. has established a new completely owned subsidiary Shrink Solar LLC, which focuses on commercializing the company’s solar technologies. Shrink Nanotechnologies licenses opportunities and develops products in the solar power generation; biotechnology and sensors R&D tools; and medical diagnostics businesses.

The solar concentrator designs of Shrink Nanotechnologies will now be available through Shrink Solar and will enable consumers to generate solar energy with the help of their windows and rooftops.

Shrink Nanotechnologies’ CEO Mark L. Baum stated that the goal of Shrink Solar is to play a crucial part in the solar power generation market valued at $37 billion by developing and selling cost-effective solar concentrators as an add-on device to already existing poly- and mono-crystalline solar cell arrays in order to generate more energy output for every square meter.

Utilizing the patent-pending nanocrystal-based technology of Shrink Solar, the technologies of Shrink Nanotechnologies enhance the capability of silicon in absorbing sunlight and converting it to electrical energy.
