Top-ranking manufacturer of PV products and multicrystalline solar wafers LDK Solar Co., Ltd. has announced the mechanical completion of its second 5,000 MT train in the company’s 15,000 MT polysilicon plant and will commence ramping production. Currently, the first train operating in full closed loop mode is likely to generate 5,000 MT per year.
The CEO and Chairman of LDK Solar Xiaofeng Peng stated that the combined annualized manufacturing capacity of 10,000 MT for the company’s first two trains will offer economies of scale with minimal power consumption by means of 48 rod reactors and also reduce production cost.
