Ascent Solar Technologies, producer of low cost, flexible thin-film solar modules with substrate materials, has chosen Polymeur Sun as its authorized reseller to distribute its less weight, ultra-power, flexible thin-film CIGS solar modules for portable power solutions and building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) applications in Malaysia and Singapore markets.
Singapore-based Polymeur Sun is a developer and installer of off-grid and grid-linked photovoltaic systems with a special focus on incorporation of flexible solar modules.
Ascent Solar Technologies’ deal with Polymeur Sun enables the company to enter into numerous sectors of the Southeast Asia’s emerging solar industry such as direct use to building materials for both off-grid and grid-linked solutions.
Farhad Moghadam, President and Chief Executive Officer at Ascent Solar, said that through this agreement, the company would market other products in the flexible, less weight CIGS modules portfolio including portable power and other off-grid stand alone solutions.
