WATT Fuel Cell Integrates Designing, Developing and Production Processes of Solid Oxide Fuel Cell

WATT Fuel Cell declared that it has integrated its designing, developing and manufacturing services of advanced solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) systems meant for use in distributed generation, small fixed type of power facilities and portable power.

The company is concentrating in the manufacture of a flexible core system that can be scaled from 200 W to 2 kW of power.

Dr. Caine Finnerty, an expert from the fuel cell industry and who leads the company, said that the time is ripe for the fuel cells to claim their place amidst the other sophisticated energy technologies. He explained that WATT Fuel Cell is equipped to prove the fact that fuels cells no longer belonged to the category of science exhibition projects and technical demos and are fast developing to meet the energy requirements of today. He said that the SOFCs are meeting the energy demands ecologically friendly, cost -effectively and efficiently.

The WATT Fuel Cell team comprises the key employees of the company who have worked together to tackle the design problems of SOFC such as preparation of fuel, collection of current, thermal mass and thermal integration. The unique advancement in the product permits increased production and cost- efficiencies. The company is currently constructing its new facility over a 33,000 square foot area in Nassau County, N.Y.
