International Solar Electric Technology Signs MOU with Yeungnam University and K + K Solar

International Solar Electric Technology (ISET) declared that it will be conjointly cooperating with K&K Solar, a Korea-based company and the Yeungnam University Korea.

Though the financial terms of the contract and the collaboration details were not divulged, ISET pointed out that the contracted memorandum of understanding (MOU) was directed towards development and commercialization of new technologies enabling ISET to persist with the progress of its thin-film CIGS solar panels

Dr. Vijay Kapur, CEO and President of ISET, showed keenness about the collaboration and called the occasion as innovative to merge the knowledge and skills of ISET in formulating new solar technologies with that of the better know-how and high volume production capabilities of Korea. He further said that the potentialities brought in by the teamwork of both the companies will introduce a new track for the introduction of cheaper manufacturing facilities and the installation of reasonably priced photovoltaic systems globally.

The signatories of the MOU that was contracted at the ISET’s Chatsworth, California, facility include K&K Solar’s President YoungSik Kim, Regional Innovation Center for Solar Cell & Module’s Director Dr. Jae Hak Jung, director of the Institute for Solar Energy Research and the Solar Cell Materials and Process R&D Workforce Cultivation Program, Dr. Chinho Park and CEO and President of ISET Dr. Vijay Kapur.
