The project includes six turnkey types of solar PV installations completed by Siemens. The Les Mées solar project is developed by Delta Solar, a subsidiary of Eco Delta Développement (EDD), a project developing company. Siemens has completed the installation of all the six PV plants in a period of 10 months.

The Les Mées solar farm designed to produce a total peak power generation of 31 MW, is located over 800 m height over the sea level on top of the La Colle des Mées plateau and occupies an area of around 70 ha. The 112,000 solar modules installed at the location will generate enough power to meet the power requirements of around 12,000 French families.

Under the terms of contracted accord for the six turnkey solar PV projects installation, Siemens took charge of the control systems and grid connectivity in addition to the supply and erection of transformers, low and medium-voltage components and the inverters. The company also took the responsibility for completing the substructure and civil works and will continue to provide maintenance service for the solar power plants.
