GlacialLight at Uganda Sheraton

The Kampala, Uganda Sheraton, has opted for economical, but bright GlacialLight LED lights to reduce its energy costs. The switching over to LED lights has helped the Sheraton to reduce costs of electrical lighting by more than 76%.

The hotel replaced many traditional lights in their Green Restaurant and also in the hotels’ interior areas with GlacialLight GL-MR16-5W LED lamps. These lights have a life of over 20,000 hours. They can be fitted into the existing fixtures, which avoids the necessity of additional equipment. The long life leads to savings in replacement and maintenance costs. GlacialLight LED lamps do not have perceptible flickering, which leads to a higher quality of light at the hotel and the restaurant.

LED lamps are environmentally-friendly and have a very small carbon footprint. They do not contain mercury or other hazardous metals. They also do not emit harmful infrared or ultraviolet radiation.

The GlacialTech MR16 LED Bulbs can be used as a replacement for conventional MR16 halogen lamps. They can also be used on standard GU5.3 sockets with 12V AC/DC. The LED Bulbs consume a low power of 5W. These bulbs possess high luminescence LEDs, leading to high luminous efficiency.
