EcoSafe bags and can liners from BioMass Packaging are made from compostable plastic
These liners possess high-strength and are suitable for use in cafeterias, hotels, restaurants, homes and other businesses that want to dispose their organic and food waste to compost.
The new EcoSafe bags and can liners are BPI and ASTM D-6400 certified, which designates that the plastics can be composted in industrial and municipal aerobic composting facilities. Municipal compost programs in many places have made it mandatory to carry green waste in biodegradable bags.
The new BioMass Packaging bags are 100% compostable. They degrade in around 10 to 45 days. The bags are supplied in a range of sizes, which can be used for lining waste receptacles that have a capacity of up to 96 gallons. They are resistant to punctures and have a distinct star-seal bottom that prevents leaks, breaks and premature break downs. They can withstand hot foods and boiling-hot liquids. The bags can hold weights of up to 50 lbs. The compostable bags are elastic and can fit snugly into the bins. They retain their strength till they are transported to the compost facilities and they need not be double-bagged.
The new BioMass Packaging bags are manufactured by the Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate at a factory owned by Native Americans in South Dakota.
