Clean tech company, Green Earth Technologies declared that it has joined the Sherwin Williams "NASCAR Home Tracks" program to make G-CLEAN and G-OIL products more easily available to consumers. This initiative was undertaken to market quality products to the competitors.

On June 1, 2012 the G-OIL 100, a 100-lap feature race, will be held at Bowman Gray Stadium in North Carolina. The stadium is NASCAR's longest running weekly race track. The G-OIL 100 will be the first NASCAR race title sponsorship. Green Earth Technologies will provide free oil and vinyl to all the participants. The top finishing car utilizing G-OIL will receive a special bonus from the company.

Green Earth Technologies’ President and Chief Marketing Officer, Jeffrey Loch stated that the company is happy to join the 'NASCAR Home Tracks program'. Loch added that the company had joined this program to show that US-made, eco-friendly G-OIL is capable of meeting the performance demands required in NASCAR's series. Since the program covers more than 20,000 competitors throughout the country. Loch is hoping that G-CLEAN and G-OIL products will be used for their teams and families.

Sherwin Williams Automotive Refinishing Stores will now offer G-OIL products, while G-CLEAN will be made available through Lancaster Distributing and all Sherwin Williams Stores.

According to the director of motorsports for Sherwin Williams, Bobby Moody, the inclusion of G-CLEAN and G-OIL in the NASCAR Home Tracks program will aid Sherwin Williams in meeting its green initiatives. Moody added that everyone stands to gain significantly by providing branded and quality products to the NASCAR Home Tracks program.

Additionally, Environmental Protection Agency and NASCAR have signed a MoU to promote environmental awareness and use of green products among NASCAR fans.
