Launch of MFG Wind to Support All Composite Components for Wind Turbines

Molded Fiber Glass Companies is unveiling its new brand MFG Wind, which embodies the complete set of wind-focused capabilities offered by the company, at the American Wind Energy Association's Conference & Exhibition being conducted from June 3 to 6, 2012 in Atlanta.

Molded Fiber Glass Companies develops composite products and supplies wind energy products such as blades, spinners and nacelles. Since the wind energy market is strong and all installed turbines are getting older, operators are now seeking high-quality aftermarket services. To address these requirements, the company has gradually increased its offering with the help of its strong network of engineering resources and factories. It created Wind Energy Services Company in 2008 to offer field repair and maintenance services. It then further expanded its offering in 2011 by including factory repairs, blade reconditioning services, and newly manufactured spare replacement components.

Now, Molded Fiber Glass Companies offers a one-stop resource for ‘all things composite’ throughout the operating life of a wind turbine. With six plants for manufacturing composites for wind market, a test and research lab, and two WES service centers for offering factory and field services, the company has established the first-of-its-kind wind turbine composites company to offer complete lifetime support for wind farm operators and OEM producers.

MFG Wind’s Director of Sales and Marketing, Gary Kanaby stated that MFG Wind’s mission is to serve as a completely resourced composites partner for companies operating in the wind industry.
