GOJO’s Green Certified Hand Sanitizer Receives Certification in Brazil

GOJO Industries has expanded its global portfolio of green-certified products with certification in Brazil for PURELL® Advanced Green Certified Hand Sanitizer.

The new green certified products acknowledgement is ABNT (Brazilian Association of Technical Standards). PURELL Advanced first earned green certification in 2012 when EcoLogo® certified the formulation in the U.S., and later gained acknowledgement as GECA (Good Environmental Choice Australia). With the certifications, the GOJO green-certified products portfolio continues to advance the company's leadership position with highly effective and sustainable formulations.

"Our growing green certified products portfolio delivers on all three sustainability fronts, from social and environmental to economic," said Nicole Koharik, GOJO global sustainability marketing director. "GOJO green-certified hand hygiene, shampoo and body wash products help people establish healthy habits and support customers' green-cleaning efforts. GOJO follows policies and practices designed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, water usage and the waste that previously would have been landfilled."

Made with 100 percent naturally renewable ethanol in a readily biodegradable formulation free of fragrance and dye, PURELL Advanced Green Certified Hand Sanitizer is the most recent GOJO product to attain green-certified products status, and further establishes GOJO as having the most complete global portfolio of third-party eco-label certified products in its category.

PURELL Advanced is the only green certified hand sanitizer to meet FDA germ kill requirements with a single 1.2 mL dispense*. It is part of the green certified products portfolio known as GOJO GREEN HYGIENE™ Solutions, which includes foams, lotions and gels in pump bottles and dispenser refills.

*PURELL Advanced Instant Hand Sanitizer exceeds FDA Health Care Personnel Hand Wash requirements with 1.2mL of product. Applies to ADX™ & LTX™ dispensers with a fully primed pump through 95 percent of refill.
