CoffeeCakes.com, an Internet gift and baked goods retailer, has announced that it will replace its optional kraft paper gift wrap with a jute gift bag that is completely reusable, functional, and eco-friendly. This change is precipitated by the company's concern to help the environment and become "greener".
Sherry Comes, president of CoffeeCakes.com, said, "We believe that every company has an obligation to lessen the waste that it produces. We are confident that our customers will support us in our decision to transition to environmentally-friendly packaging."
Last month, at the Colorado Women's Expo, the company tested public reaction to its new bags by selling the bags at their booth. The bags proved to be almost as popular as the company's famous coffeecakes. As a result of the overwhelmingly positive feedback, CoffeeCakes.com has made the bag available for purchase by itself -- or as an optional gift bag to replace traditional gift wrap. The bag is currently being offered at the introductory price of $7.95 and can be purchased at http://www.coffeecakes.com.
Mitzi Valdez, a long time CoffeeCakes.com customer, had this to say about the bag, "The CoffeeCakes.com jute bag is just wonderful. As well as being attractive, it's roomy and functional. I like that I can carry it on my shoulder when my hands are occupied."
The sturdy CoffeeCakes.com bag is lined for water resistance and features cane handles and a canvas shoulder-length strap. The bag's dimensions are (16" x 7" x 18").
