The Oregon Wave Energy Trust (OWET) today announces that its 10th annual Ocean Renewable Energy Conference will be co-located this year with HydroVision International, the largest gathering of hydro professionals worldwide. PacifiCorp (a Berkshire Hathaway Energy Company) and Portland General Electric are the two official host utilities of the event and OWET is the official marine energy partner.
The event, one of the largest scheduled in the city of Portland this year, will take place July 14-17, 2015, at the Oregon Convention Center. Media and information industry leader, PennWell Corporation, owns and produces HydroVision International.
In addition to the economic leveraging effect of co-locating these two events, HydroVision International attendees will benefit from a deeper look at this emerging industry and its role in the future sustainability of hydro, while OWET conference attendees will have the opportunity to network with over 3,000 hydro professionals from throughout the world.
For ten years, the Ocean Renewable Energy Conference has provided its attendees a forum to share new ideas and concepts, hear from leading-edge practitioners and policy-makers, learn about new research, results, and thinking, and network with industry leaders from utilities, supply chain, investors, government, and academia. No conference does a better job of bridging national policies and regional implementation, with a real-world focus on accelerating project development.
