Suntech Power Holdings Co., Ltd., one of the world's leading manufacturers of photovoltaic (PV) cells and modules, today announced it will introduce its Just Roof(TM), Light Thru(TM) and QuikSnap building integrated PV (BIPV) products from Suntech's MSK Solar Design Line(TM) to the European market at the upcoming Intersolar Technology Trade Fair 2008. Intersolar will be held from June 12-14, 2008 at The New Trade Fair Centre in Munich, Germany.
With more than 4,000 installations worldwide, Suntech's Just Roof(TM) is a roof integrated PV system designed to form a complete roof, replacing tiles or other roof coverings. The system, which was initially released in 1994, features interlocking panels mounted on specially designed rails to give a highly aesthetic, weatherproof building skin that can be installed quickly and easily.
Suntech's Light Thru(TM) BIPV glazing encapsulates cells between two sheets of glass with enough spacing to allow light to pass through. Light Thru(TM) is made to order, allowing designers flexibility in specifying the desired size, cell type, and cell spacing.
Suntech's QuikSnap panels provide a new approach to roof-mounted solar systems. By integrating the mounting fixtures into the module and making cable connection automatic, QuikSnap offers sleek and stylish aesthetics and unparalleled reliability in addition to reduced installation cost.
