Global Solar Energy has introduced two versions of universal serial bus (USB) enabled SUNLINQ portable solar chargers in the market. Global Solar Energy is a leading producer of Copper Indium Gallium diSelenide (CIGS) thin film solar products.
These portable solar products are capable of meeting any type outdoor power requirements. The USB feature in the product allows for charging any kind of mobile electronic device that is capable of charging through a USB interface. This unique feature allows the users to charge their devices at any location and ready for use at all times.
The two portable solar chargers, SUNLINQ USB Mini and SUNLINQ USB Plus, are provided with high-efficiency flexible solar cells. The products are reliable and capable of charging any device with a USB port such as electronic reader Kindle, PDAs and iPods. These products deliver charges directly into the devices through the USB port unlike other models of solar chargers that depend on an integrated battery to store energy. Direct charging of the devices is not only efficient but also faster.
The SUNLINQ USB Mini and SUNLINQ USB Plus solar chargers incorporate features and capabilities such as easy portability, rugged design, voltage regulation and high efficiency. To meet the USB charging specifications, these chargers provide 5 V output. These lightweight portable solar chargers have the capability to provide power even under cloudy conditions.
Jim Kimbrough, North American sales manager for Global Solar, said that the increase in portable devices and mobile society are the main drivers for the growth portable lightweight solar chargers. He added that SUNLINQ USB Mini and SUNLINQ USB Plus can help to meet the power needs of more than two billion electronic devices that are capable of charging through USB port.
