Green Fire supplies Ecofans that are used to circulate heated air from wood stoves. One of the Ecofans models, available from the company, is the Ecofan 800 black/gold wood-stove fan. The Ecofans are manufactured by Caframo. The wood stove fan does not use mains, electricity or battery power. The wood stove fan is operated by the thermoelectric module that functions as a small generator and powers the motor of the fan.
The thermoelectric module pumps electricity, when it finds a difference in the heat between the top and bottom surfaces. The module’s bottom surface is heated by the fan base, and the top surface is maintained cooler with the help of the cooling fins of the fan. The Ecofan 800 black/gold wood-stove fan operates silently and uses less fuel. The fan, offered by Green Fire, helps to distribute the warm air from the stove directly into the living room rather than to the ceiling.
The Ecofan 800 black/gold wood-stove fan starts automatically. It adjusts its speed according to the stove temperature. When the stove heats the air, the fan runs faster and circulates more air into the room. When the stove cools down, the fan shuts down automatically. The wood stove fan, provided by Green Fire, is made from anodized aluminum that is rust proof. The fan includes bi-metal strips at its base to protect it from over heating.
