Indirect Solar Storage Tanks from Thermo Technologies

Thermo Technologies offers three types of solar water heating storage tanks, namely, the direct solar storage tank, indirect solar storage tank and twin-coil solar storage tank. The indirect solar storage tank is a solar tank designed with a single heat exchanger and is constructed for closed loop solar systems.

Indirect Solar Storage Tank

The indirect solar storage tank, supplied by Thermo Technologies, incorporates a brass drain valve and utilizes a patented R-Foam insulation method. This solar storage tank is offered in two models, the single element water heater or storage tank. Both these models are designed for residential direct solar systems. There is a threaded stud placed close to the outlet for connecting tank sensors. For the better preservation of heat, the solar tank is isolated.

This indirect solar storage tank from Thermo Technologies includes pressure and temperature relief valves, efficient heating elements, cold water inlet, hot water outlet, anode rod, over temperature protector and automatic temperature control. The return fittings and collector feed are at the front for an easier installation process. The Rheemglas tank lining is designed to provide resistance against corrosion, increasing the longevity of the tank. The cold water is prevented from mixing with the heated water with the help of the cold water inlet. The anode rod in the tank balances forceful water action that may otherwise hamper tank life. The indirect solar storage tank is available in a diameter of 24 1/2 inches and height of 58 3/4 inches.
