A subsidiary of Trina Solar Limited Changzhou Trina Solar Energy Co., Ltd has introduced its novel ‘Design Series’ by producing black PV modules. Trina Solar is a solar photovoltaic (PV) product manufacturer that produces wafers, cells and ingots and also assembles PV modules.
Trina Solar Limited intends to showcase the new product at Solarexpo 2010 located in Verona, Italy, in May this year. Customers in the North American and European markets can purchase the product in the third quarter of 2010. The new black modules find applications in both commercial and residential settings.
The black modules have 0/+3 W power tolerance. The module utilizes the high-efficiency cells of Trina Solar Energy, laminated using black sheets and framed using black anodized aluminum, thereby is believed to withstand stress and provide structural stability. The multicrystalline TSM-PC05 black and monocrystalline TSM-DC01 black modules provide a power output varying from 215 to 230 Wp and from 165 to 175 Wp, respectively.
