The SMP6 – Pyranometer with Analog and Digital Output

The SMP6, a next-generation pyranometer from Kipp & Zonene, combines the housing and sensor technology from the CMP6. The SMP6 has analog and digital outputs, low maintenance and is very robust and reliable. It cludes an internal desiccant that can last up to 10 years, which also significantly minimizes maintenance.

The SMP6 pyranometer uses the CVF4 ventilation unit to extend the dome cleaning interval and to improve the quality of measurements. It provides a power supply ranging from 5 to 30 VDC, enabling easy integration in solar power and meteorological stations. Since the output and connections of the SMP21 are standardized, the equipment can be easily interchanged for recalibration.
