Saint-Gobain Tape Solutions' Norseal® PF40 Series provides enhanced micro-cellular polyurethane foam solutions, particularly intended for the efficient functioning of batteries in a pack. This series includes PF45 and PF47 in thicknesses of up to 10 mm, resulting from work on a variety of EV projects with varied designs and functional needs.

Consistent cell pressure and temperature are critical for long battery life. The compressed foam between cells creates uniform pressure throughout the cell surface.

Furthermore, the foam's thermal insulation qualities keep the cell face temperature stable. These qualities and the foam's associated function are very consistent over time and across diverse environmental circumstances, ensuring a prolonged service life for the battery pack.
