Kipp & Zonen’s SOLYS 2 Sun Tracker is widely used in solar energy applications across the globe. It is easy to install and operate and has Baseline Surface Radiation Network (BSRN) levels of reliability and performance.
SOLYS 2 features an integrated GPS receiver to automatically configure time and location data upon installation. The unit also eliminates the need for a PC and software for set-up. By means of the integrated bubble level on top, leveling can be easily checked.
The sun tracker also features an optional top mounting plate and shading assembly that can be used to configure it as a complete solar monitoring station with up to three ventilated Kipp & Zonen radiometers. For direct solar radiation instruments, a wide range of mounting kits is available.
SOLYS 2 does not experience an internal clock drift as the time is frequently updated by the GPS receiver. An optional sun sensor is provided for active tracking. The sun tracker has a unique design, comes with innovative features, and offers excellent performance and ease of use. It can operate from AC or 24VDC power, both inputs are supplied as standard.
