Aquatech to Showcase Wastewater Treatment Systems in Shale Gas Insight 2011

Aquatech, a provider of wastewater reuse, recycling and treatment solutions, has declared that it will take part in the Shale Gas Insight 2011 to be held on September 7 and 8, which has been sponsored by the Philadelphia-based Marcellus Shale Coalition. The conference will take place at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

Aquatech will showcase its range of products and provide details about the operation of Aquatech’s eco-friendly and established MoSuite line of wastewater treatment systems that will be used by the shale gas operators.

The complete portfolio of the MoSuite system includes MoVap, a portable industrial distillation equipment for total dissolved solids (TDS) removal, MoTreat, a portable pre-treatment equipment for total suspended solids (TSS) removal and an industrial distillation system that is modular for TDS removal. The product series also includes a modular crystallizer that can produce useful products of reusable salts ensuring that dumping of salts to the underground disposal wells is minimized. The salts obtained can be commercially reused for oil and gas operations as well as for future drilling. The modular and mobile wastewater treatment systems of Aquatech can be integrated or used separately to make sure that the purified water is truly clean to allow it to be either used again or discharged back into the environment satisfying the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) standards.

The mobile solutions offered by Aquatech allow reuse and recycling of flowback waters at the satellite, wellhead or central facility minimizing the fresh water levels needed for the hydraulic fracturing method utilized in shale gas exploration. Since the total volume of freshwater on the well pad is minimized, the amount of transportation needed for water removal and delivery is also considerably reduced.

Chuck Kozura, Aquatech’s Regional Business Development Manager stated that the company is elated to participate in Shale Gas Insight 2011. He also said that the conference timing is appropriate as it will be possible to provide recent news on the success and performance of its mobile wastewater treatment systems for shale gas.

Based on the needs of the customers, MoVap and MoTreat can be integrated along with other modular, mobile and central treatment alternatives to provide a total solution to treat flowback, drilling waste water and production brines. The company also provides services such as trouble shooting and maintenance and a Shale Gas Team that can be availed round the clock.
