Algaetech International declared that it has obtained the Asia Pacific Green Excellence Award from Frost & Sullivan for its innovation in Algae Technology. The award was presented at the opening day of the 2011 Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific Green Excellence Awards banquet, which took place on August 25th at the Amara Sanctuary Resort Sentosa, in Singapore.

Frost & Sullivan has recognized the turnkey and ready to use type of green solutions provided by Algaetech International that assists in resolving environmental problems while offering higher level of profit from the investment made in the shape of valuable products such as health foods, biofuels and other products. The solution offered by the company utilizes carbon dioxide discharges as a supply to grow the algae, thus helping the power plants and other production facilities to bring down their contribution to environmental erosion while yielding revenue from their waste products.
Presently, the company is working in close relationship with the EADS and Aerospace Malaysia Innovation Centre (AMIC) to support the growth of algae and manufacture of aviation fuel in Malaysia. The company is also entering into a new partnership with Pahang biodiesel to develop an algae project over an area of 5,000 acres in Rompin, Pahang. The project is considered to be the biggest project in the world.
According to Radhika Puri, Technical Insights Research Associate of Frost & Sullivan, the Algae Integrated Management System (AIMsys), a trademarked facility of Algaetech, with its inbuilt and exclusive computerized automation control and monitoring system and provision to supply customized report and study of the process ensures continued level of productivity and efficiency all through the operations process.
