OXIS Energy (OXIS) has been at the forefront of building Next Generation Battery since 2004. The company has developed its unique technology around sulfur based cathode materials, highly stable electrolyte systems and anode made of Lithium metal and intercalation materials.
OXIS are based on the Culham Science Centre in Oxfordshire where the original Lithium-Ion batteries were first developed and prototyped. They have well equipped laboratories with state of the art equipment and large dry room facilities.
OXIS and its research partners are focussing on the development of the world leading Li-S chemistry that can be used in a wide variety of battery applications. Mass production of the cells is handled by licensees, including GP Batteries of Singapore. Several Battery Integration partners are developing batteries for the many applications of the technology.
