HCSVPW Water Tank Solar Systems from LP Hoying

LP Hoying designs, manufactures and supplies a range of rectifiers, photovoltaic power systems and solar power equipment for cathodic protection. The HCSVPW water tank solar system is designed to offer cathodic protection for water tanks. It incorporates two controls, one for riser protection or tank bottom and the other for bowl inside or tank. Constant potential control is provided for tank/bowl circuit while constant voltage output control is provided for bottom/riser circuit.

The constant voltage control mode is set by the operator, which is constant at the set point. The output current of the rectifier changes when the load resistance changes. The constant potential control mode is also set by the operator over a range of 0-2.5V. A reference half cell is essential for constant potential power supply to control the potential control mode. The light emitting diodes of the control unit offer visual indications with regard to load drop function, voltage operation, tank potential control, tank voltage control and charge conditions. Load drop feature disconnects the system’s load whenever the voltage of battery terminal drops to a set level and then picks up the load automatically when the battery is recharged.

The HCSVPW water tank solar system that requires at least four solar panels has steel support structures that are ten-foot long. Solar panels of the water tank system incorporate efficient solar cells, which is manufactured with proprietary bypass diode function to stop power loss. If a module is temporarily shaded, the bypass diodes help to prevent heat generation.
