Background

Dr. Daniel Betts is EnerFuel’s Director of Business Affairs. Dr. Betts is charged with establishing the overall company technical and business strategy, including evaluation of partnerships, product development cycle and technology roadmap. He has over 13 years of experience working with fuel cells and advanced power systems. His engineering experience spans fuel cell product development, private company R&D, and academic research. Dr. Betts has been with EnerFuel since its inception in 2004 where he acted as the company’s Senior Systems Engineer. In 2005 he was promoted to Engineering Manager as the company expanded its operations into high temperature PEM fuel cells for automotive applications and micro-fuel cells for remotely placed electronics. Prior to joining EnerFuel Daniel worked at the University of Florida and at Energy Partners as a fuel cell systems engineer. He has also worke in the utility sector generating forecast models for renewable electricity production. Daniel has participated in government technology roadmap forums for DLA.

Dr. Betts is an expert in power systems, energy conversion, hydrogen generation, and controls. He holds a PhD in mechanical engineering with a thermal science concentration from the University of Florida (UF). He also holds an MBA from the same school.
