Nordex can supply the N90 2.5 MW wind turbine which incorporates a variable speed single blade adjustment and has a rated power of 2500 kW. The upwind type rotor utilized in this wind turbine has a diameter of 90 m and features active rotor blade adjustment and variable speed.
This wind turbine is offered in 70, 75, 80, 100, and 120 m hub heights. The three blades incorporated in the rotor are made of glass fibre reinforced polyester with lightening protection. The swept area offered by the wind turbine is 6382 m², the speed range of the turbine is 9.6–16.8 rpm and the tip speed of the wind turbine is approximately 70 m/s. The nacelle yaw of this model is continuously and dynamically adjusted by utilizing four geared motors. The turbine is provided with two anemometers for monitoring and controlling functions.
