IBERDROLA Chooses STM to Provide Communication Solutions to Energy Farms

STM Group Inc. (STM), a cellular wireless network and satellite systems and services provider, has announced that one of its subsidiaries located in Madrid, Spain has finalized an agreement for the delivery of its VSAT services and products to NEO-SKY, the telecom operator of IBERDROLA, for the network of IBERDROLA, which is a producer of wind energy.

NEO-SKY has selected STM for providing reliable communications to sites that are in requirement of remote control, surveillance as well as monitoring, in an effort to protect the investments of the company.

The solution package of STM will be deployed at solar farms, wind farms as well as transmission stations of IBERDROLA. Each of the sites is incorporated with SatLink VSAT that is IP-based, which will offer remote monitoring, control and video surveillance. A virtual network operation (VNO) is being offered to IBERDROLA by utilizing teleports and hubs operated and owned by STM. STM creates value in terms of engineering optimized solutions for its customers, whether they use mobile or fixed operation at sea or on land.
