Helix WindCorp, a renewable energy company, declared that in collaboration with its distributing company SWG Energy, Inc, it has received a purchase order from Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (OMRF) to offer 24 numbers of S594 vertical axis wind turbines.
The order is consequent to the installation and successful testing of two wind turbines sold to the foundation earlier that formed a part of the total project.
Mike Morgan, OMRF’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, said that his organization is convinced about the operating performance of the Helix Wind turbines. While appreciating the advanced technology incorporated in the wind turbines he added that OMRF will be the first research institution to have a wind farm over its roof containing vertical axis wind turbines. He further said that the S594 wind turbines provide effective performance in tune with the environs of the institution and operates noiselessly. He concluded saying that the double helix shape of the wind turbines resemble a DNA molecule, a fitting symbol to be incorporated at the roof top of a biomedical research institution such as OMRF.
Scott Weinbrandt, Helix Wind’s CEO and President, expressed his happiness to work with its distributing company SWG Energy, Inc and the team of OMRF in providing a clean energy solution for the foundation. He further said that the small vertical axis wind turbine technology adequately meets the exclusive requirements of the research facility. He concluded saying that the cooperative effort of the organizations involved in the project has led to the construction of an exclusive roof top mount for the research facility.
