Stellar Energy Joins Alvarado for Installing Solar System for Bakery

The roof of the Alvarado Street Bakery located in Petaluma, California contains the smell of fresh bread while creating solar energy. Stellar Energy, a leader in providing renewable energy is currently installing a huge solar electric system on North Bay’s beloved and best known organic bakeries. The Alvarado Street Bakery’s Petaluma facility has a roof area covering almost 1.5 acres and will soon be hosting an effective and innovative solar electric system.

This 404 kW system will be offsetting approximately 40% of the power needs of the bakery, an equivalent of powering 90 average homes. This solar system will consist of 1,722 units of the Sharp brand solar panels with a power generation capacity of 235 W each. These solar panels are installed on the special rack system which minimizes roof attachments while preventing water leaks.

All the basic components of this system are assembled or made in America while providing green jobs for the economy at a crucial juncture. Stellar Energy applauds the leadership efforts of Alvarado Street Bakery towards deploying the exciting solar project, which happens to be one of the pioneering efforts for the bakery industry while reducing carbon footprints, saving energy as well as cutting down costs in providing sustainable prosperity and health.
