Sungevity Proposes Free Solar Panels for the White House

Sungevity, a residential solar energy company, has already forwarded a letter to the Department of Interior as well as to the Obama administration  offering a free solar panel system  to The White House. An “iQuote” has been sent to President Obama  showing the cost as well as savings along with an image of the solar panels upon the roof of the White House.

Danny Kennedy, Sungevity President, made this offer in person on the Earth Day Event in the White House to President Obama. President Obama has already shown enthusiasm for this idea and has announced that the White House will see these solar panels installed by 2011. Sungevity has initiated this “Globama” campaign towards introducing solar into the White House. Sungevity is also elated about the positive response received from the Obama administration.

Sungevity is glad that further awareness has been ignited towards solar energy and clean energy movement. The company has mentioned that residential solar power has now become affordable and accessible while applauding the efforts of 50,000 people who have signed a petition towards commitment to clean energy. Interestingly, Sungevity has already offered residential solar systems for free to the Obamas as well as other world leaders.
