SiGNa Launches an Advanced Electric Bicycle, the Range Extender

The race for creating a portable power platform that is hydrogen-based moved forward at the Interbike International Trade Expo when SiGNa Chemistry Inc. went on to demonstrate its new range extender with ultra-high-performance levels.

This power platform is a groundbreaking innovation that produces instantaneous hydrogen gas and later on converts this hydrogen gas into electricity by making use of a low-costing fuel cell.

The range extender creates continuous power to the extent of 200 W, while the excess energy gets stored inside a lithium battery for usage under energy-intensive acceleration as well as for hill climbing conditions. This power system is clean and safe while the hydrogen gets produced under low pressures and water vapor is the only emission. The extender goes on to triple the range of SiGNa’s e-bike with minimal additional weight.

While the existing e-bikes are enabled with a 20 mile range without pedaling, SiGNa’s range extender goes on to achieve a 60 mile range without pedaling towards each carried fuel cartridge. These fuel cartridges are lightweight, inexpensive and are also hot swappable. SiGNa’s range extender is a portable-power system that overcomes two crucial challenges by making use of hydrogen for transportation applications, safe transport and adequate hydrogen storage.
