Del Mar Farms, a company that provides fresh and packaged premium commodities such as Roma Tomatoes, apricots, zucchini, almonds, honeydews and cantaloupes, declared the conclusion of its solar PV system installation.
Del Mar Farms has availed the services of Cenergy Power, a segment of BAP Power Corp. to design, manufacture and set up the solar PV power system. The 354 kW roof mounted solar system is installed over the three buildings of Del Mar. The system with a capability to generate 660,000 kilowatt hours of renewable energy every year will meet nearly 90% power requirements of the company. The power generated from the system will cover the installation costs within a span of 4 years and will provide free power afterwards.
Jon Maring, from Del Mar Farms, said that his company always believes in green agricultural methods and practices it. He added that his company was looking for solar options and included it when they wanted to augment the cooling capability of its facility by utilizing cheap and cost-effective solar options provided by Cenergy Power.
