Alinta Energy, who supplies energy to 700,000 homes and businesses in West Australia, South Australia and Victoria, developed the interactive energy house to provide consumers with the information they need to take action to reduce their energy consumption and bills using Natural Gas.
Easy to navigate and use, the Alinta Energy Save with Gas Home makes energy saving measures a click away. Scrolling from room to room, users can explore various appliances to reveal energy-efficient Natural Gas products, from ducted heating to kitchen stoves, hot water heaters and fireplaces.
Users can then click through for more information on the appliances, including where to buy them.
Lucky Poulos, Alinta Energy's General Manager WA Retail , said: "Our new Interactive Gas House is a quick and free way for Australians to get some really useful information about how to save energy in their homes, and help keep bills under control now and in the years to come."
"With 38 per cent of energy used to cool and heat the typical Australian home and 25 per cent to heat water, Natural Gas can make a huge difference to your energy bills and the environment. And the Alinta Energy Save with Gas Home shows room by room where these savings can be made."
Natural Gas is one of the cleanest, most reliable, economical and efficient non-renewable energy sources available. A colourless, odourless fossil fuel, Natural Gas forms naturally from decayed plant and animal matter compressed over millions of years far below the earth's surface.
"Choosing Natural Gas in your home for heating, cooking and hot water could not only save you money on running costs, it is also one way you can reduce the carbon footprint for your household," said Poulos.
