Glasgow-based renewable energy pioneer, Katrick Technologies will be attending Expo 2020 Dubai and pitching with venture capital firm Greenbackers on March 23, 2022 as part of its climate tech tour. Katrick Technologies will present its unique wind power generation technology. The event aims to drive investment into cleantech by connecting investors with technology innovators to bring new products to the market and support global decarbonisation.

Katrick Technologies is rapidly developing a reputation as a notable disruptor in the green power industry. With a recent feature in the PwC UK Net Zero Future50 report, and a key role in an award-winning partnership with cloud computing company iomart, Katrick is generating global interest for its innovative carbon neutral technologies.
Katrick Technologies focuses on providing cost-effective innovations that are easy to implement on a large scale to maximise their potential for power generation and decarbonisation. The start-up has developed revolutionary new wind panels which offer a flexible alternative to traditional wind power and have the potential to generate 22,000-kilowatt hour (kWh) of clean electricity per annum.
Its passive cooling system for data centres has also shown significant energy-saving results in recent trials on a project with iomart which was awarded the Best Use of Emerging Technology at the 2022 Digital City Awards.
Katrick Technologies co-founders Karthik Velayutham and Vijay Madlani will be attending the expo from March 21 to 27, 2022 and will be pitching their wind panels with Greenbackers as part of their latest climate tech event.
Greenbackers is an investment capital firm dedicated to investment opportunities for Net Zero technology. The company aim to establish relationships between sustainability-focused investors and technology companies to help with funding and scale up.
As part of Expo 2020 Dubai, Greenbackers is holding the Greenbackers Climate Tech Tour: Destination Dubai – Achieving Net Zero in a carbon dominated regional economy. The two-hour event will be hosted by the Scottish Government and held in the Inspiration Gallery, in the UK Pavilion at the Dubai Exhibition Centre. The event starts at 10:30am UAE Gulf Standard Time, with two 30-minute sessions for cleantech companies to present their climate technology solutions. Attendees will also be invited to stay and network following the event.
The Greenbackers event will also highlight how the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will deploy cutting-edge technology to support its ambitious climate goals. Katrick Technologies will present their wind panels to potential investors and to explore the potential for their uses both in the UAE and globally.
