Simon Higgs Named President and Chief Operating Officer of Green Earth Technologies

Green Earth Technologies (Pink Sheets: GETG) announced today that Simon Higgs has been named President and Chief Operating Officer of Green Earth Technologies. Mr. Higgs, already a member of the board of directors, will immediately take on both roles as Dr. Mathew Zuckerman regrettably had to resign from his position as President and COO due to medical reasons. Jeffrey Loch, co-founder of GET will replace Dr. Zuckerman on the Board of Directors and will continue leading GET's marketing and sales initiatives while chairing the Advisory Board.

"We are very grateful for all of Dr. Mat Zuckerman's hard work and invaluable contributions," says Jeff Marshall, Chairman and CEO of GET. "The GET team is in full support of Mr. Higgs appointment as he has already demonstrated phenomenal leadership on the Board and we are very happy that he has agreed to expand his participation with GET and lead the team."

Simon Higgs began his career with the U.K.'s Royal Mail, holding several senior management positions. In 1996, Mr. Higgs joined Marken Ltd., a privately held, U.K.-based courier company where he served in a number of executive posts including Vice President of US operations, UK Managing Director, Asia/Pacific Regional Director and the number two position in the company, Global Director. During his 10-year tenure with Marken, the company became the market leader in specialist, pharmaceutical transportation. Mr. Higgs left Marken in 2006 to pursue other investment and consultancy interests. He currently resides in Connecticut, where Green Earth Technologies is headquartered.
