Cleantech Guru to Speak on the Third Industrial Revolution

President of the Foundation on Economic Trends and professor at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Jeremy Rifkin, will be a keynote speaker at the CleanTech Innovation Marketplace conference, at HiT Barcelona, from the 17th to the 19th of June, 2009 in Barcelona.

Rifkin, one of the most influential analysts of the global economy, will focus his address on "Leading the way to the Third Industrial Revolution", analysing the possiblity of an industrial revolution based on distributed energy and individual power generation shared with others across smart-grids, and its subsequent effects on the world economy.

The American professor will give his speech at HiT Barcelona, a global gathering of leading innovators, environmental experts, investors and entrepreneurs to promote strategic business projects.

In addition to Rifkin, the CleanTech Innovation Marketplace will also feature speakers such as Agustín Delgado, Director of Innovation and Technology Development, Iberdrola; Gary Rieschel, Founder & Managing Director, Qiming Venture Partners; Mohanjit Jolly, Executive Director, Draper Fisher Jurvetson (India) and Olivier Dupont, Président du Directoire, Demeter-Partners.

The CleanTech Innovation Marketplace is a platform for entrepreneurs and investors to interact and network, a space to share ideas, projects, business models and latest trends in alternative, clean and renewable technologies to capitalize on the most pioneering innovation and generate new business ideas.
