Solar Electrical Systems has installed a solar electrical shadeport for the Los Angeles Air Force Base. The project of 360 kW capacity will provide electrical savings of more than $70,000 annually and is likely to save tax dollars of $12.5 million over a period of 30 years.

The company was chosen for this project due to its efficient installation schedule and innovative design. One of the uniqueness of this project is that the modules were panelized in an ISO 9001 plant and transported directly to the project site. This reduced onsite labor expenses, reduced the total system expenses and increased the speed of installation by 20%. Tax incentives and rebates paid for more than 75% of this project.
