African Energy offers the SunPumps manufactured SDS-Q-128 submersible solar pump. This low voltage, diaphragm type positive displacement solar pump is DC powered and convenient for use in far off places.
The SDS-Q-128 pump operates on 13–30 V DC power and requires 35 W to operate. The power requirements of the pump can be met by utilizing a solar panel or a wind generator.
The SunPumps SD-Q-128 submersible solar pump provided by African Energy is built utilizing marine grade bronze and 304 grade stainless steel. The outer diameter x height measurement of the pump is 114 mm x 311 mm and weighs 7.9 kg. This pump is best suited for installation in 127 mm inner diameter pipes or larger type of wells. This pump offers a flow rate of 14 LPM and pumps up to 30 m. The SD-Q-128 pump is designed to function either in sunny or shady areas in remote locations. For sunny locations this pump utilizes 50–60 W solar modules connected series and when installed in shady locations this pump works utilizing 70–80 W modules.
The SD-Q-128 submersible pump can be installed below the water level in a river, pond or in to a ground water well. This pump is suitable for use in a stand alone supercharged water delivery system or can be used for filling up an open type of tank. The SD-Q-128 is of self-lubricating type and designed corrosion free for long-term usage. This pump requires little maintenance and can be repaired easily.
