The heat exchanger used in this stove is made of stainless steel for increased life and the large ash pan requires limited cleaning schedule. This stove can provide heat to cover an area of 1800 sq. ft by producing 35,000 Btu heat and at minimum level this stove produces 10,500 Btu heat. Under low heating conditions this stove can burn continuously for 33 h with a hopper load of fuel. An installed thermostat control helps in managing the on and off operations of the stove and offers low or high level heat as required.

The Hastings cast iron pellet stove incorporates an automatic ignition for quick starting of the stove. The built in convection type of 210 cfm blower in the stove allows even distribution of the heat. This EPA approved stove has an emission level of 0.7 g/h.
