Fuhrlander AG offers the FL 2500 2.5 MW wind turbine. This variable speed and three-bladed wind turbine is offered with a choice of 80, 90 and 100 m diameter rotors with 5,027, 6,362 and 7,854 m² swept area ranges to meet the location requirements and wind conditions. Similarly this wind turbine is available with tubular towers measuring 65, 85 and 100 m heights and lattice towers up to 160 m height.
FL 2500 2.5 MW Wind Turbine
The FL 2500 2.5 MW wind turbine with a 100 m rotor offers 9.4–17.1 RPM and covers a swept area of 7,854 m². For controlling the operations of the wind turbine a pitch power control is included. This wind turbine incorporates three stage gears with a ratio of 1:79.6 (50 Hz). The asynchronous type of 600 V 50/60 Hz generator incorporated in the wind turbine comes with a slip ring motor. The generator runs in the speed range of 750–1310 RPM and utilizes an indirect converter connected to a DC voltage intermediate.
The FL 2500 2.5 MW wind turbine offered by Fuhrlander AG generates its maximum 2500 kW power at 11.5 m/s wind speed. This wind turbine starts its operations at 4 m/s wind speed and stops its operations when the wind speed reaches 25 m/s. This sturdy wind turbine survives up to 52.5 m/s wind speed. The 100 m diameter of this wind turbine weighs 52 T, its nacelle weighs 96 T and its tower weighs 350 T.
This wind turbine has a four gear motor yaw control with an independent triple pitch system as main brake and hydraulic disk brake as second brake system. The operations of the wind turbine can be monitored utilizing a fixed net work. The sound output level of the 100 m rotor wind turbine is 104.6 dBA.
